The Research Process

In a typical research assignment, you will be asked to come up with a specific topic and to systematically investigate and study any materials and sources within the selected topic.  Sometimes, this requires some preliminary work before you start your actual research, especially when your topic is too broad or specific and requires you to revise it until you have a manageable scope to work with.
